1/28 Scale

On-Road Racing

What it is

On-road is the club's core identity: 1/28 scale pan cars and touring chassis on tight, technical indoor circuits. Grip, racing lines, and lap-time consistency decide races here, not straight-line speed. It's the closest thing to full-size circuit racing you can fit in a single room.

Who it’s for

Anyone who likes clean, precise driving. First-timers can run a loaner setup before buying anything, and experienced Mini-Z racers will find real competition on the stopwatch.

The chassis

Pan car

Kyosho Mini-Z

The benchmark 1/28 platform. Huge parts support, deep tuning options, and the largest field at our race days.

Advanced chassis

Atomic

Race-focused chassis and hop-ups for drivers chasing tenths. A favourite for club racers who love wrenching.

Advanced chassis

GL Racing

Modern 1/28 platforms with strong out-of-box pace and a growing following in our on-road field.

Getting on the grid

  • Entry fees are posted per session on the race calendar.
  • Loaner setups are available for first-timers, run a race day before you buy.
  • A race-ready Mini-Z setup starts around the cost of a video game console, and the club can point you to trusted local retailers.
  • Race almost weekly, at least monthly. Check the calendar for the next session.
